Social Events > Diversity & Inclusion

Following discussions with IFAC and the newly created Diversity and Inclusion Committee, it has been decided to make this event a pilot case for addressing diversity issues and in particular the participation of women researchers.

In addition to the gender aspects in the different committees (IPC, organizing committees, keynote speeches or presentations in sessions), a conference, as well as a roundtable moderated by Dr Mary Doyle-Kent

(Head of the IFAC Diversity and Inclusion Committee), will be organized on the theme of the place of gender in research projects. Not specific to the theme of the workshop, these activities will be accessible online for a dissemination at the IFAC level and a remote participation of all the actors concerned by these sensitive and topical subjects.

Other actions are currently being considered to challenge the research community on gender issues. It should be noted that the subject is complex because it can be counterproductive and go in the opposite direction of the intended objectives. A debate on this theme will be organized during the conference.
